Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer isn’t as widely discussed as common as cavities and periodontal disease, but that doesn’t mean it’s not dangerous. Tens of thousands of Americans are diagnosed with this condition every year, and nearly half of those people won’t live more than 5 years past diagnosis. This is because most cases of oral cancer aren’t caught until they’ve reached advanced, destructive stages. Our team takes this threat seriously and is committed to including oral cancer screening as a vital part of regular check-ups.

Fluoride Treatment
Fluoride is a mineral that has been shown to be effective at preventing cavities and stopping early tooth decay through a process of demineralization. It is often present in government-regulated tap water, dental products, and even fruits and vegetables. People who are under orthodontic treatments, have dry mouths, and having or had multiple dental works are at high risk for cavities. Although fluoride is present in our almost everyday life, it is very low in amount, which is helpful for renourishing the teeth, but often not strong enough for people with high risk for cavities.

Dental Sealants
Dental sealant is often recommended for children or adult patients with high cavities risk, especially with difficult-to-clean areas such as the biting surface of the teeth. A good placement of dental sealants can prevent food traps between the grooves, pits, and fissures, therefore, less decay-causing food and bacteria in the area. Sealant placement often doesn’t require numbing or drilling onto the tooth and is expected to last at least 1 to 2 years.
